Christopher Paolini

Christopher Paolini is an American and Italian author, best known for The Inheritance Cycle, which includes Eragon, Eldest, Brisingr, and Inheritance. Born on November 17, 1983, in Los Angeles, California, Paolini grew up in Paradise Valley, Montana, where he was homeschooled. He began writing Eragon at age 15 and self-published it with his family in 2002. The book gained popularity after being picked up by Alfred A. Knopf in 2003, making Paolini a New York Times bestselling author at 19.
