The Magician’s Nephew – Summary
“The Magician’s Nephew” is the prequel to C. S. Lewis’s beloved fantasy series, The Chronicles of Narnia. Set in London during the early 20th century, the story follows two young protagonists, Digory Kirke and Polly Plummer, who embark on an extraordinary adventure that leads to the creation of the magical world of Narnia.

Aslan sends Digory on a quest to retrieve a magical apple to protect Narnia. Digory faces temptation but ultimately makes the right choice, planting the apple to grow into a tree that will shield Narnia from evil for years to come. As a reward for his bravery and integrity, Aslan gives Digory an apple that cures his mother’s illness.
The story concludes with the children returning to London, and the magical rings buried in the garden. Years later, the tree grown from Digory’s apple is cut down and made into a wardrobe – setting the stage for future adventures in Narnia.
